Travelling warm for the winter

Winter travel

Winter travel

Winter travel can be harsh, cold, and dry, and if you’re someone who hates the idea of bundling up in scarves and hats, now’s the time to book yourself a getaway. Traveling somewhere warm for the winter is a viable option for anyone who isn’t quite ready for all of the elements the Christmas period brings with it, and if you didn’t get a summer break, now’s the perfect time for you to make up for a lost time!

But where should you go? Whereabouts on the planet would be warm enough to let you slip outside in just a shirt and a pair of shorts? Well, here are a few suggestions to get your idea ball rolling during winter travel. You want something a bit more tropical when it’s winter back home and you want to experience something other than relenting cold, so why not head to America for the beach culture?

America is a very big place, and quite a few areas stay warm and pleasant during the harshest months of the year, so feel free to soak up the atmosphere!

Hit Up an American Beach

And if you need some recommendations – any beach in Puerto Rico is going to be wonderful for your warm trip needs, but the special mention goes to San Juan. It’s a popular tourist spot, no matter the month, and it’s not too far away from Miami either. And that’s another great spot for people looking to experience the sun’s ever-present rays when you feel like it’s snowing everywhere else!

Visit Africa

Head to Morocco, which is just off the coast of Spain, and indulge in quite a few water sports in well-warmed, slice of paradise waters. Head to Tanzania for a couple of weeks, which will be a perfect pre-Christmas experience in the first place, but you could hop onto a safari whilst you’re out there. It’s one of the largest national parks in the world, and it’s a place everyone should visit at least once in their life!

Chill Out in the South

And following on from the point above, why not chill out a bit further South? Head to Australia or New Zealand, and experience a completely different hemisphere. When it’s winter where you are in the North, it’s going to be summer in the South – travel off to it when the cold snap gets too much, and revel in the sun and sand, and plenty of the green grass and unique animals you’ll never get a glimpse of back home.

Traveling in the wintertime is always going to be a unique experience. Why not book it for Christmas this year, and experience something exciting and a lot different than any winter before?
