The culminating shrine of Vaishno Devi eulogizes millions in the country
The culminating shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is a blessing expedient for millions of Indians living under difficult circumstances. The shrine attracts millions of Indians every day, and especially married women come to seek consecration for the well-being of their family and their children. The Mountains of Trikuta enclose the holy shrine of the deity, making it a treasure hunt for adventure enthusiasts across the country.
The holy shrine is at a distance of 14 km from the town of Katra in Jammu, which can be trekked in 2-3 hours. The road to the shrine is very well planned and properly cultivated by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, which gives it an edge over other shrines in North and South India. There are palanquins, ponies, heli services available for the elderly and handicapped that help pilgrims across the country. The entire hiking route is so beautifully constructed that there should not be any problems for even a middle-aged person to climb the path. There are dormitories for a night’s stay in the area, but they remain fully packed and crowded, so it would be wise to come down and spend the night at Katra. There are shops available along the route to purchase souvenirs and carry them back home for memory.
The entire route to the shrine is covered by the thick and dense forests of the Trikuta Mountains. The whole scene looks magnificent, and I feel an urge to visit the region multiple times with friends and family. The path is mostly convolute and some parts of it really require a steep ascent. There are sculptures carved in gold and silver and paintings of the shrine available for sale in the emporium. Overall, it was a riveting acquaintance to survey the mountains of the Trikuta Hill Ranges and a memorable venture to cherish for a whole life.
