5 things to do in New York

One of the hardest things about booking a trip to New York is knowing what you will do when you get there. Although there are thousands of things to choose from, narrowing them down to several activities for your trip can be incredibly difficult. Whether it’s your first or fifth visit, you will always find a reason to return. From standing at the Top of The Rock to seeing a show on Broadway, there are so many incredible things to do in New York. With that in mind, here are five things to do in New York on your next trip.

How do you explore New York?

  1. The Brooklyn Bridge.

Whether you’re spending time in Dumbo or you’re simply there for the incredible views of the skyline, Brooklyn is a must-see for anyone visiting the city. Once you have wandered around Brooklyn, a long route back to the town is a must. Although walking can take up to an hour, crossing the Brooklyn Bridge is a magical way to see the city, especially at sunset.

  2. Go To the Top of the Rock.

If you want an incredible birds-eye view of the city below with photo opportunities, Top of the Rock is the place to be and one of the best things to do in New York. Although it can be a little pricey and the lines can be long, it’s worth the 360 views of New York City.

  3. Do A City Bus Hop on Hop Off Tour.

If you want to get a feel for the city and see all the options available, buying a Hop on Hop Off Bus ticket could be a great choice and one of the budgeted things to do in New York. Not only will you be able to travel across some of New York’s most popular districts and landmarks, but you’ll also be able to get off at any stop you wish. Most tours will come with a handy commentary, meaning you can learn everything you need about the landmarks you’re passing en route.

  4. Seeing a show on Broadway.

Visiting Broadway is essential, whether it’s an old classic or something new.

  5. Eat Hot Dogs from a cart on The Sidewalk.

Finally, what is a trip to New York without eating hot dogs from a cart on the sidewalk? It’s an absolute must during your stay!
